Alosha Samaraarachchi embodies the next generation of ocean guardians through her role as a Youth Ocean Ambassador with Marine Conservation Network. Passionate about marine life and education, she is currently leading a public awareness program to teach communities about the importance of sharks and their critical role in maintaining ocean balance.
Earlier this year, Alosha participated in the Marine Science Communication Workshop in Galle, Sri Lanka, gaining hands-on experience in marine storytelling, digital outreach, and conservation leadership. Looking ahead, she will proudly represent Marine Conservation Network at the International Shark Convention in 2026, where she will advocate for shark protection and ocean awareness on a global stage.
Through her dedication to education, youth empowerment, and marine advocacy, Alosha continues to inspire others to protect our oceans and ensure a sustainable future for marine life.
