Marine Conservation Network (MCN) is a community-driven nonprofit protecting marine life through education, shoreline response, and advocacy.
We empower individuals of all ages to become Ocean Guardians — people who take action for marine life and our coastal ecosystems every day.
Our volunteers stand guard during strandings, post safety and educational signage, and engage the public to raise awareness — keeping both people and wildlife safe until authorized responders arrive.
Today, MCN’s focus has expanded beyond the shoreline. We’re training ambassadors, leading public education initiatives, and building a global network of ocean advocates dedicated to creating lasting change — from local beaches to international waters.

To protect, conserve, and preserve marine ecosystems through education, advocacy, and collaboration.
We empower people to act — creating awareness, inspiring stewardship, and uniting communities to safeguard the ocean and all who depend on it.

A world where people feel deeply connected to the ocean — inspiring global action that protects marine life and ensures a thriving, healthy ocean for generations to come.
We would like to thank the Emmett Foundation for their continued generosity and belief in our mission. The Emmett Foundation, headquartered in Los Angeles, focuses on funding education and environmental initiatives across the United States, with a leadership team comprised of Emmett family members who serve without compensation. Their support over the years has played a vital role in sustaining our work and allowing us to continue protecting marine life and coastal ecosystems. We are deeply grateful for their partnership and commitment to conservation.

For more than a decade, Marine Conservation Network has brought people together to protect whales, marine life, and coastal ecosystems through education, advocacy, and community action. Today, we’re expanding that impact by strengthening our Ocean Guardians and Ambassador Programs and building partnerships that reach more communities. Together, we’re helping ensure the next generation doesn’t just inherit the ocean — they learn how to protect it.
