The Marine Mammal Protection Act of 1973 was enacted to provide protection to all marine mammals in a balanced ecosystem. It ensures the welfare of these vulnerable creatures who play a vital role within our oceans. Our First Responder's responsibilities extend to safeguarding stranded marine mammals by keeping the public at a safe distance until licensed and qualified authorities arrive to provide needed assistance minimizing potential harm. Our team also provides education efforts raising public awareness about the importance of conservation which fosters a deeper understanding of the ocean's delicate balance and the importance of all life in the marine world.
